Description

The Finnish Consumer Agency wanted to educate young adults about consumer skills. They turned to Valve to come up with new ways of influencing the target group in inspiring way.

The solution

The solution was to create web-based games, which would be fun and educational at the same time. These games were entitled "Galactor- the code breakers" and "Galaktori". The games do not give out straight answers but instead challenge players to seek out information and solve the mysterious puzzle. The first version was published in 2005, concentrating on consumer sales, and second version in 2007, with a focus on electronic shopping and the related rights and responsibilities.
