Description

Helsingin Sanomat wanted to create discussion and provoke comments from residents of the capital area on the environment that they live in – what they like and dislike and what needs to be done to improve things.

The solution

Valve designed and produced a campaign site where users navigated around the capital area on a map and added their own comments and suggestions on it. The biggest challenge in the project was to create a dynamic map application that worked on a web browser.

The results

The campaign site gathered 20,000 unique visitors during the first nine days. On average, visitors spent over 13 minutes on the site.
