The client

UPM is a global forest products group with core businesses in printing papers, speciality papers, label materials and wood products. In its main product areas UPM is a leading manufacturer in all key markets.

The challenge

“Every time we bring someone to a commercial forest, his opinion changes. Every time” Bob Taylor, a forester working for UPM, said in one of the workshops during the project. Over the years, UPM, a global forestry products giant, has brought thousands of paper buyers and other stakeholders to experience the forest at first hand. This approach is understandably expensive and has its limitations.

The solution

UPM Forest Life is a similar experience to visiting a real forest. It shows all the aspects of modern forestry in a highly realistic way. During the journey the visitor is shown both clear cut and preserved areas. The incredible photos and videos on the site were shot in one of UPM's commercial forests.
