Description
Nokia wanted to create a new revolutionary way of using web services on a cell phone. The service should be fast and work on as many phones as possible - and very easy to use in order to set it apart from its competitors. They turned to Valve for service design and front-end development. At that point it was decided that service should consist of two parts - a mobile client and a web site where to manage the service.
Valve was responsible of creating consistent user experience, and implementing it on the website. The WidSets service was launched in 2005, and reached significant amount of users within short time. Success has enabled further improvement of the service, with Valve still being the responsible party in all matters concerning user experience, design and front-end technologies
